Fairfield City To offer Prescription Card?!?!

Okay so as I was looking through the local newspapers website, Journal News, I found this story.

The city of Fairfield is going to offer a FREE discount prescription card to its residents and any city employees. You cannot combine it with your insurance but it can be used for items that are not covered by your insurance if you have it.

If you do not have insurance it can save you up to 20% off your prescription.

It will also cover some pet prescriptions.

There is over 60,000 locations that take the card and 11 in Fairfield.

I am really impressed that the city is going to offer this. I am not sure how much it can save us, but if anyone has any additional information, please share. I guess we will have to see just how much this card can save us.
